A member of Oyo State House of Assembly for Iwajowa State Constituency, Hon. Anthony Ogunsola has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde on his birthday and the constituents on celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Governor and adherents of Christianity will on Monday, 25th December celebrate the date of birth and festive season of Christmas.

The Parliamentarian said, Governor Seyi Makinde had no doubt made remarkable achievements in the history of Oyo State and those records will remain evergreen for the current and unborn generations.
On auspicious occasion of Makinde’s birthday, Hon. Ogunsola wished him sound health, more wisdom, prosperity and prayed that the subsequent celebrations of his will be more blissful and glorious.
In another vein, the Chairman House Committee on Mineral Development congratulated all adherents of Christianity in Iwajowa Local Government, Oyo State and Nigeria on current festivity of Christmas and however admonished them to reflect deeply on purpose which warrants the celebration of Christmas.
He maintained that the festive period of Christmas is once in a year and remains the unique one while all Christians regardless of status would come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
He added that, it is a memorable celebration that is geared towards the show of kindness, generosity and alms giving to the less privileged ones.
Hon. Ogunsola called on all adherents of Christianity to use the festive period to reach out to the sick, needy, vulnerable and less privileged who are not better positioned in the society.
He reiterated that, an act of giving and feeding the needy and poor is in tandem with how Jesus used and lived his life.
He said, the Christians should neither feed nor make themselves happy during this period, but should also extend hands of generosity to others regardless of religious dichotomy.
He equally enjoined them to use the great privilege of the season to pray for the public office holders and betterment of Nigeria.
Hon. Ogunsola asked them to celebrate moderately and however prayed that the happiness that accompanies the season would never elude anyone.
The Lawmaker reiterated his commitment to primary duties of effective representation, lawmaking and oversight functions, which he affirmed, would in no distant time bring over all development to the constituents and good people of Oyo State.
