Iseyin-born Legal Luminary, Alhaji Ahmed Raji SAN has tasked the newly turbanned Chief Imam of Tedeland, in Atisbo Local Government, Area of Oyo State, Barrister Imran Adewale Atilola to use his new position as a religious leader to promote unity and harmonious relationship among the entire people of Tede and its environs.
Former Chairman, Iseyin Local Government, Hon. Saheed Yusuff Alaran who represented Barr Ahmad Raji SAN,as Chairman of the day congratulated the new chief Imam and the people of Tede on the auspicious occasion and urged him to foster unity and promote peace among his people as a notable community leader.
Alaran added that his commitment and dedication should be in line with derive pleasure in serving humanity especially the downtrodden.
The epoch making occasion which was graced by several traditional rulers including the Okere of Saki,Onjo of Okeho, Olokaka of Okaka,Onibaasi of Baasi and Onitede of Tede also had in attendance Islamic scholars, religious groups, political bigwigs, government functionaries and distinguished personalities who came from all walks of life.
Speaking on behalf of the state government, Chairman, State Pension Board ,Hon Rafiu Adekunle said the state governor Seyi Makinde was ready to extend the love and close rapport he had with the former Chief Imam of Tede land to the new Chief Imam Atilola for the benefit of the people of the land.
The Governor described the choice of Barrister Atilola as a round peg in a round hole and charged the people of Tede to support him for the betterment of their town.
While speaking on the choice of a legal luminary, Barrister Atilola as the Chief Imam of Tede, the Chairman Atisbo Local Government Hon Ademola Fasasi Adeagbo and the Political Head and Administrator; Atisbo South LCDA,Hon Joe Makanjuola Ayoola as well as Hon Tajudeen Abiodun Were represented by Mr Oladoyin Nafiu said the choice of Barrister Atilola was nothing but an added advantage for socio-economic advancement of Tede land.
Both local government bosses eulogized the new chief Imam to use his wealth of experience as legal icon to foster unity and harmonious relationship among his people.
While describing him as a very humble, generous, friendly and accommodating person,they urged him to use his position to promote peace among muslim faithful and other religious believers for the growth and development of Tede land.
The new Chief Imam Barrister Imran Adewale Atilola promised to justify the confidence reposed in him by bringing growth and development to his community.
The new Chief Imam is a Member of Nigeria Inter Religious Council,Oyo State Chapter and also serves as Legal Adviser to Oke Ogun League of Alfas and Imams till his appointment as the new Chief Imam of Tede land
Among other dignitaries that graced the occasion were the former chairman Atisbo local government Alhaji Ismail Adedeji who also serves as chairman turbarnning planning committee and the Iya Adinni of Oke Ogun Alhaja Amdallat Arike Titilope Mustapha ably represented by Alhaji Abdul Majeed Adewale Ismail.
