Soliu Abu Gbadamosi Mourns as Grand Chief Imam of Ilero Passes Away
With profound sadness and acceptance of the divine will, the community of Ilero Land mourns the sudden passing of their Grand Chief Imam, Fadeelat Sheikh Abdul Fatai Aderibigbe Fasasi. The esteemed religious leader passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
The announcement of his demise, conveyed by Engr. (Dr.) Soliu Adebare Abu Gbadamosi from his Office of Media, Publicity, and Strategy, Oyo State, has cast a pall of grief over the ancient town and its environs.
Janazah prayers and the final Fidau prayers are scheduled for 4:00 pm today at the Imam’s residence, located in Isale Ilero, Ilero, Kajola Local Government Area, Oyo State.
The community and the bereaved family are united in prayer, beseeching Allah to forgive the late Grand Chief Imam’s shortcomings, grant them strength and fortitude during this difficult time, and bestow upon him eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus.
