Former House of Representatives Member and Oyo North Senatorial candidate for Accord Party in the last General elections in Oyo State, Hon. Shina Peller, is gearing up to join the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The specific date of his official induction into the conservative party will be communicated to the public in due course.
It would be recalled that Iseyin-born politician got into the green chamber in 2019 under the banner of All Progressive Congress(APC), he defected to Accord Party, before 2023, while he failed to secure the party’s ticket for Oyo North Senatorial District.
His next move has been confirmed by Micheal Ogunsina, the State Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the PDP in Oyo State. Ogunsina informed journalists that preparations are already underway to organize a grand welcoming ceremony for Hon. Shina Peller and his supporters across the 13 Local Government Areas of Oyo North Senatorial District.
Speaking on this development, Ogunsina expressed enthusiasm about Peller’s decision to join the PDP, emphasizing the party’s commitment to inclusiveness and the advancement of Oyo State.
He stated, “We are excited to welcome Hon. Shina Peller into the People’s Democratic Party. His wealth of experience and dedication to public service will undoubtedly contribute to the party’s growth and our collective goal of ensuring a prosperous Oyo State.”
The welcoming ceremony is expected to be a vibrant and well-attended event, symbolizing unity and collaboration as Hon. Shina Peller aligns himself with the People’s Democratic Party’s vision for the future of Oyo State.
