Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has issued a statement commemorating International Women’s Day 2025, acknowledging the significant contributions of women globally and advocating for enhanced policies to foster gender equity.

The statement, released on Saturday through his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, and distributed to news outlets in Ibadan, highlighted the senator’s recognition of women’s resilience, strength, and achievements across diverse sectors. Senator Alli emphasized their crucial role in nation-building and societal advancement.
“Senator Alli stressed the need for continued advocacy for gender equity, urging both public and private opportunities that empower women,” the statement read.
The lawmaker further called upon all stakeholders to prioritize the empowerment of women and address existing disparities in leadership, education, and economic participation.
Specifically, Senator Alli commended Nigerian women, with particular emphasis on those residing within the Oyo South Senatorial District, for their steadfast dedication to their families, communities, and the broader national development.
