Appeal has gone to Nigerian Youths to shelve planned mass protest that is slated for 1st August, 2024.
Member of Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Kajola State Constituency, Hon. Musbau Akintola Azeez popularly known as ‘ACTION’ made this appeal in a release signed and made available to acrossnigerianews.com
ACTION noted that, protest is a fundamental right of everybody, in every democratic setting but the planned one tagged ‘#DaysOfRage and #EndBadGovernance’ that is slated for 1st August, 2024 may be violent if care is not taken.
He maintained that, hoodlums and miscreants may hijack the protest, and the clear and objective intentions of the organisers may not be attained.
Okeho-born politician however enjoined youths not to listen to agents of darkness and anti Nigeria’s progress who are hellbent to destabilize the country.
ACTION asked them to be patient with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he described as a patriotic leader whose programmes and policies are aimed at alleviating poverty and bring smiles to all faces.
Oyo Lawmaker hinted that Mr. President’s insistence on local government’s autonomy, students’ loan programme, security re-engineering, economic reforms and many others are testaments of his readiness to lead with positive results.
He asked youths not to engage in any dastardly act, which may subsequently hurt the economy and afterwards have negative consequences on all Nigerians.
ACTION enjoined them to acknowledge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a patriotic leader, whose renewed hope agenda would favour all and sundry.
