Local Government Chairmen across Oyo State have lauded Governor Seyi Makinde’s recent appointment of Hon. Akinwale Akinwole, widely known as “Wolekanle,” as the Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission.



The council heads, in a statement released on Wednesday, conveyed their strong approval of the appointment, highlighting that it underscores Governor Makinde’s consistent approach to recognizing and rewarding individuals within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who have demonstrated loyalty, dedication, and competence.
Hon. Akinwole, who served as the PDP’s senatorial candidate for Oyo North in the 2023 elections, assumed his new role on Monday.
In the congratulatory statement, signed by their spokesperson, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, the chairmen commended the governor for what they termed a “perfect choice.” They asserted that Hon. Akinwole possesses the requisite qualifications and will undoubtedly leverage his extensive experience and insightful perspective in his new capacity.

The Local Government Chairmen voiced their strong belief in Hon. Akinwole’s ability to surpass expectations in his new role.
