The Iwajowa community has applauded Hon. Anthony Ogunsola, a member representing Iwajowa State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, for organising a Ramadan lecture, marking the first of its kind by a sitting House of Assembly member in the area.

The event, held at Ayetoro-Ile on Sunday and themed: “Rewards of Good Deeds (Esan Sise Daada)”, featured the presentation of Holy Qurans, cash donations to all Alfas in attendance, and the distribution of essential commodities such as milk and sugar to participants.

The guest lecturer, the Chief Imam of Ayetoro-Ile, Alhaji Thabit Babatunde Suh Nuran, admonished the Muslim faithful to consistently do good and uphold the values of Islam.
He particularly commended Hon. Ogunsola, a Christian, for his rare gesture of organising the programme and challenged affluent Muslims to emulate his example in supporting the community.
Dignitaries at the event included the traditional ruler of Ayetoro-Ile, HRM Oba Abdul Rasheed Omobolanle, the PDP Local Party Chairman, Mr. Wasiu Fasola Charity, Hon. Yekeen Asafa, as well as Chief Imams from Iwere-Ile, Idiko-Ago, Ilaji-Ile, Ijio, Samo, and Ayegun Wasinmi respectively.
In his vote of thanks, Hon. Ogunsola expressed gratitude to almighty Allah for granting the Muslim faithful the opportunity to witness this year’s Ramadan fasting.
He also lauded Oyo State Governor, His Excellency Seyi Makinde, for his remarkable developmental strides in the state and prayed for divine wisdom and strength for him.
