Prominent Ibadan figure and gubernatorial aspirant, Chief Saheed Oladele, the Baàmẹ̀kọ́ of Ibadanland and Chairman/CEO of Erudite Group of Schools, has been named the Chairman of the 2025 CCII Ibadan Youth Conference. The announcement was made on Thursday by Chief Abiola Alli, Chairman of the Ibadan Week Festival Planning Committee, during a press briefing marking the commencement of the annual Ibadan Week cultural celebration.

Chief Alli affirmed that all preparations have been finalized for Chief Oladele to preside over the significant Youth Day Conference, scheduled to take place on Tuesday at the Bode Amoo Hall within Ibadan House.
Highlighting the purpose of the event, Chief Alli stated that the conference will concentrate on equipping young individuals across Ibadanland with essential skills and knowledge to facilitate the pursuit of meaningful careers. He emphasized, “Sensitizing and empowering the youth in Ibadanland remains one of the most effective strategies to enable them to realize their aspirations, establish careers, and consequently contribute substantially to the progress of their respective communities.”
The 2025 Youth Day Conference will be held under the theme: “Bridging the Unemployment Gap: The Role of Mandatory Entrepreneurship and Vocational Training in Ibadanland.” The seminar is designed to underscore the critical role of entrepreneurship and vocational training programs in mitigating youth unemployment and stimulating economic growth within the Ibadan region.
This appointment follows Chief Oladele’s recent recognition by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), which bestowed upon him the title of Grand Ambassador of Ibadan Culture (GAIC) a year prior, acknowledging his significant contributions to education and cultural advancement. The accomplished educationist was also a recipient of the Face of Oyo Youths Award three weeks ago and was recently honored with the esteemed title of Amuyangan Ile Oodua by the Yoruba Study Group just last week.
