With a view to making clean and safer water available to the constituents, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Hon. Oyeshina Oyedeji popularly addressed ‘Oshine’ has begun the repair of all dysfunctional boreholes across the Federal Constituency.
The Federal Parliamentarian will also kick start the digging of new boreholes at the strategic and needed places where they would be useful to the constituents.
Okeho-born Lawmaker in an exclusive interaction with the acrossnigerianews.com disclosed that the step taken to resuscitate all either dysfunctional or dead boreholes was to ensure that water is available to all regardless of their geographical locations.
Oshine maintained that concerted efforts are also in top gear to ensure that the new boreholes would be dug for the constituents’ environment where water becomes so scarce for their use.
He said, the work over the repair of boreholes had begun in Kajola and Iseyin Local Governments where boreholes in places like, opposite Baba Pakoyi’s House, Oke Ashin that is adjacent Baba Adeife’s House, Ilé Awo, Ijo Maternity Centre in Ward 05, Okeho and Isherin(3 boreholes) in Iseyin LG have been resuscitated.
He promised to ensure that, all the affected boreholes across the Federal Constituency are repaired and put to functional use for the benefit of the constituents.
He urged people whose places are deficient of boreholes to be calmed and patient, reiterating that efforts are in pipeline to make clean and safer water available.
He noted that his embarkment on provision of clean water was in line with fulfilment of promises which he made during the electioneering campaign.
Not only but also efforts were made to grade about three(3) kilometre roads in Ilero, Kajola Local Government, as action would also be expedited to ensure that the roads linking settlements in Isherin, Iseyin Local Government would be graded in no distant future.
Oshine said he could not hesitate to do all these, as they were parts of promises he made while seeking their supports before the last general elections.
