As rainy season marks the commencement of farming activities, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Hon. Oyeshina Oyedeji has procured a brand new tractor, for the easiness of farmers across the constituency.
The tractor, which is to prevent the stress of farmers from running helter skelter to look for the commercial ones, has been made available for their use.
Comrade Sulaiman Imran, who spoke on behalf of the Federal Parliamentarian with acrossnigerianews.com disclosed that the new tractor is available and would soon begin operation shortly after all arrangements had been concluded.
Imran hinted that, part of notable arrangement is meeting with all farmers across the Federal Constituency, where modalities of tractor’s operation would be smoothly discussed.
He added that farmers in each local government would be partitioned into zones, and all that fall into each zone will be collectively attended to, by the tractor’s operator.
He reiterated that the meeting becomes important, so as to ensure that all farmers are carried along with considerable bookings.
Imran maintained that token amount of money would be paid by each farmer on each acre of land, so as to pay the operator, care for other maintenances surrounding the tractor and possibly secure another one.
He said, the tractor that was provided for farmers by Oshine, was in line with fulfilment of promises that he made during the electioneering campaign.
He said, with the new tractor, there would be easiness for farmers, their cost for pre-farming activities would be minimised and abundant produce would be harvested at the end of the season as God lives.
Imran asked for farmers’ cooperation, mastery of booking arrangement and identification of zone that each belongs to, for the smooth operation and easiness of the task.
