The ancient town of Ileroland in Kajola Local Government, Area of Oyo State was on Thursday, 28th March received creme dela creme as LELSALAM Foundation organised 1st Ramadan Lecture and Iftar.
The Elero of Ilero, HRM Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka and Elero in Council who played host to visitors also thronged the event organised amidst ecstasy and grandeur.
The Colourful Islamic Programme that featured Lecture and Iftar had in attendance of Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka, Elero Council of Chiefs, Community Leaders, Islamic Clerics, and other participants respectively.
Sheikh Muhammad Mushkur Abd Hameed who spoke as a Guest Lecturer, enjoined people to refrain from hypocrisy, sentiment, acrimony and other dastardly acts which Allah and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(PBOH) go against.
He asked people to have good and pure intentions that would compel them to cherish, admire and love one another as they attain elevation and progress in all facets of life.
While speaking, Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka showered encomiums on Engr. AbdJeleel Lekan AbdSalam, the founder of LEKSALAM Foundation on his initiative and resolve to organise 1st Ramadan Lecture and Iftar.
The Monarch described this singular act of the founder as a charitable organization that is poised to care for the orphans, widows and other less privileged ones in the society.
Oba Elero enjoined LEKSALAM Foundation to work in tandem with the aims and objectives that birthed the charitable organization, so that the purpose would be fulfilled at the long.
He however prayed God almighty to continue to guide, guard and bless him with the required knowledge, wisdom and resources to make the foundation last longer.
Oba Elero enjoined other Ilero indigenes to emulate LEKSALAM on his foundation and other initiatives which they think could bring relief to the people and also better the community at large.
Engr AbdJeleel Lekan AbdSalam, the Founder of LEKSALAM Foundation thanked all people who attended the programme and however promised that the purpose which brought the foundation into existence would be fulfilled as God lives.
The epoch making occasion also featured conversion of Madam Roheemat into Islam, prayers, admonition, Islamic song and other soul inspiring activities from the participants.
