The final burial ceremony of late High Chief Raheem Adelodun, the Basorun of Iseyin, in Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State was organised amidst ecstasy and grandeur.
The wine and dine ceremony which took place on Thursday, 25th January at Technical College Iseyin attracted people of calibre, notable politicians, Iseyin high chiefs, deceased’s family members and others respectively.
While paying tribute, the Ex Commissioner for Works in Oyo State, Hon.Dauda Oladimeji Azuzu described late High Chief Adelodun as a man of honesty, principles and impeccable character, who would be sorely missed.
The Òsì of Iseyin, High Chief Sulaiman Adewale Olanrewaju said Baba was an upright, virtuous and transparent person, whose lifetime was exemplary in all ramifications.
He revealed that he would sorely miss late Basorun of Iseyin, sequel to affinity. closeness and affection that both shared before the later’s demise.
Son to late High Chief Adelodun, Alhaji Ibrahim Basorun said his father had taught him and other sons and daughters, the virtue of sincerity, transparency and reasons to stand for justice, equity and fairness.
He said, he was grateful to God almighty that his father was an upright and honest person, who throughout of his lifetime stood for what he believed in.
Another son, Mr Wasiu Adebayo Adelodun lauded Aseyin of Iseyin, HRM Oba Sefiu Olawale Ajirotutu1 for the roles he played during his brief sickness and after his demise.
He prayed that God will grant the deceased an eternal rest, and however make the ancient town of Iseyin more peaceful and prosperous.
Mr Anthony Basorun also described late Basorun as a man who valued and prioritised the importance of integrity, impeccable character, honesty, openness and other positive values.
The Seriki Fulani, Oyo State, Alhaji Yakubu Bello paid tribute to the deceased and prayed Allah to grant him Aljanatul Fridaos.
