As Wahab Oladeji Celebrates Monarch’s First Anniversary
The ancient town of Igbeti in Olorunsogo Local Government Area of Oyo State buzzed with activity on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, as the Onigbeti of Igbetiland, HRM Oba (Engr.) Alh. Bashir Olalekan Abioye Siyanbola IV, conferred chieftaincy titles and celebrated his first coronation anniversary.

The prestigious event, held at UMC Abegunde Memorial Grammar School, saw Chief (Alhaji) Rasheed Olawale Sakariyau and Chief Adedokun Adedayo Ebenezer honoured with the titles of Bobagunwa and Otunba Tayese of Igbeti Kingdom, respectively.

Oba Abioye explained that the selections were based on the recipients’ significant contributions to the town, exemplary character, and other noble qualities.He urged them to utilize their new positions to serve the community with diligence and patriotism.

The Onigbeti expressed his gratitude to Allah for the support and guidance received during his first year on the throne. He also acknowledged the contributions of the Onigbeti in Council, community members, and well-wishers, encouraging them to continue their efforts towards the town’s growth and development.

Chief Sakariyau, CEO of Rashed Global Nigeria Limited, and Chief Ebenezer, CEO of Ebenco Nigeria Enterprises Limited, both expressed their gratitude to the monarch and pledged to fulfill the responsibilities associated with their new titles.
Alhaji Wahab Mudasiru Oladeji, CEO of Irorunola World Investment Limited, extended his congratulations to Oba Abioye on his first coronation anniversary. He described the monarch as a calm, gentle, and wise leader whose reign has ushered in a new era for the community.

He prayed for the monarch’s continued guidance and wisdom in leading Igbetiland’s development.
The event was attended by a diverse group of dignitaries, including Oke-Ogun traditional rulers, business leaders, politicians, representatives of the Oyo State Government, and members of the Igbeti community.
