As Nigeria gradually edges closer to the 2027 general elections, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Rotimi Ajumobi, has urged party members and stakeholders to embrace unity and love in order to strengthen the party’s chances of victory at the polls.

Ajumobi, who was the PDP’s aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly in the 2023 elections, made this call in a statement made available to acrossnigerianews.com
He emphasized that reconciliation and collective commitment remain the strongest weapons for the party to overcome internal challenges and present a formidable front ahead of the 2027 contest.
The Assembly hopeful, whose political slogan is “Isokan” (Unity), stressed that no political party can achieve success in an atmosphere of division, bitterness, or disunity.

According to him, prioritizing peace and togetherness within the party is not only a moral obligation but also a strategic necessity to reclaim and consolidate electoral victories across Oyo State and beyond.
“Unity, love, and togetherness are unavoidable criteria for the success of any political party,” Ajumobi said.
“As we prepare for 2027, it is imperative for every member of our party to mend fences, put aside personal grievances, and work for the collective good of the PDP and the people we seek to serve.”

He further expressed optimism that with renewed dedication, grassroots mobilization, and genuine reconciliation among party leaders and members, the PDP in Kajola Local Government and Oyo State at large will emerge stronger and more competitive in the 2027 elections.

Ajumobi concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the party’s growth, pledging to continue to champion unity and progress in line with the aspirations of the people.
