An Okada rider and his passenger whose identities are yet to be revealed had died after the front tyre of the motorcycle burst on high speed and they both hit their heads on the road along Iseyin-Okeho road, in Oke-Ogun axis of Oyo State.
The sad incident happened on Wednesday, 6th December, while the two other victims who were directly hit by the motorcycle after the rider lost control, sustained serious injuries and have been taken to an undisclosed hospital.
Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officers and other security agents were seen at the scene of the accident when our correspondent got to there and the corpses have been covered with clothes.
The tyre was suspected to have been patched by the rider instead of changing it according to a sympathizer.
”It is the mostly the reason why such accidents happen, when they patch tyres instead of changing it, there is every tendency that the tyre will burst if it is under intense pressure from high speed,” the sympathizer who craved anonymity said.
