A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao (Allow Alao), has expressed deep sadness over the death of a member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Musliu Akinremi.
Alao in a statement he personally signed, said his last encounter with the federal lawmaker was five days ago (evening of July 5) when they were on phone for one hour during which they discussed family affairs and political issues.
He described the death of Akinremi who died early Wednesday morning in Abuja after a brief illness as devastating and great loss to the APC, the people of Ibadan North, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

as a committed, hardworking, patriotic and selfless lawmaker who served his constituency and country diligently through passionate advocacy for welfare of the people and societal development.
According to him, his wealth of experience during his short time as a politician would be greatly missed by those who had contact with him, stating that he was kind, humane, accessible and have great respect for him as his elder brother.
He condoled with his family members, teeming supporters and people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency, noting that his deeds which gave him good name within and outside Ibadan North Federal Constituency would leave after him.
He said, “Since I heard about his death early this morning I have been very sad and disheartening. The death of someone whom I would describe as my very good brother is nothing but devastating and which I still find very hard to believe. He was a consummate politician and a reliable brother.
“I pray Almighty Allah to grant his soul Aljanat fridaus and grant his immediate family, the APC, people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency and all of us he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
