Member of Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Kajola State Constituency, Hon. Musbau Akintola Azeez has said that he only made a mere political statement that was overhyped by members of opposition parties.
The Lawmaker, who is also a chieftain of All Progressives Congress(APC), had before the just concluded local government’s election made a statement to scare those who were hellbent to rig the civic exercise.

ACTION, Vice Chairman, House Committee on Establishment, Training and Poverty Alleviation Programme clarified that the statement credited to him was neither to cause trouble nor to destabilise the reigning peace in Oyo State, but a mere political statement made to scare people who said election had been won before Saturday, April 27, 2024 that was fixed by Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission(OYSIEC).
Oyo Lawmaker added that, the statement has been exaggerated by members of opposition, as it had been given undue and irrelevant interpretations.
On outcome of last election, ACTION enjoined all members, supporters, leaders and stakeholders of APC to be patient and refrain from acts which are capable of causing violence and tension in Kajola LG and Oyo State as a whole.
He hinted that the game is not yet over, as the party will apply legal means to address the issue, without rancour, lawlessness and other forms of dastardly acts.
ACTION thanked all members of APC and good people of Kajola Local Government, over unflinching support shown to the party’s chairmanship candidate, Hon. Kola Sunmonu and however prayed that thousands of people would rise for support while they also need others’ assistance.
He said that, election which took place on Saturday, April 27 was far from perfection, fairness and transparency, calling on all party’s candidates not to be discouraged as truth would be vindicated in no distant time.
