The much awaited candidates’ entrance examination into Impressive College of Nursing Sciences(ICONS), Okeho, Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State has been held in line with guidelines for the academic exercise.
The first batch of the examination, which took place on Saturday, 23rd November held at the school’s permanent site locating at KM1, Moshra Garden, along Iseyin road, Okeho, the headquarters of the local government.
Mr Jaiyeoba Joshua Oluseye, the Examiner and Invigilator for the exercise, hinted during his exclusive interaction with acrossnigerianews.com that the first batch of the entrance examination had come and gone amidst candidates ‘ compliance and firm comportment.
He noted that the candidates obeyed, complied and comported in line with the rules and regulations that governed the smooth conduct of the exercise.
He disclosed that they had the written examination in line with the areas of concerned basic science subjects, which are characterised as Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology respectively.
Oluseye maintained that the candidates would have access to their results via their respective email addresses as from tomorrow, Sunday, 24th November in order to get prepared to join their colleagues who had started about three weeks ago.
Olaide Olabisi Mutiat, a student representative said the candidates felt nervous before and during the examination, hinting that the quick intervention of the School’s Registrar, Dr Quadri Abdul Fatai reposed confidence into them and enjoined to feel at home.
She narrated that the candidates, after the examination shared their testimonies that they found the papers easier, also their joy and absolute excitement to be within the academic institution.
While interacting with some of the candidates, Oduagele Godwin Joseph, who hails from North Central Geo-Political zone expressed his joy as his ambition is gradually coming to reality.
He expressed satisfaction with the entrance examination and however assured that he shall not waste time to join colleagues who had earlier commenced receipt of lectures.
Joseph said, he had knowledge of the school via Mr Tope from University Teaching Hospital, Ilorin and he was grateful that he met the school as being told.
Olorunfemi Michael, an Indigene of Ondo State said, faith in God had actually brought him to the school.
He hinted that he has been nursing ambition of nursing as a profession for a while, expressing joy that his course of study has been found.
Oshunubi Precious who came from Lagos State, disclosed that she intends to study Nursing in order to care for the people.
Precious who had decided to report back to school on Monday, promised to be focused, serious and determined in order to graduate with good grades.
