Jelili Kayode Amusan JKA MHR has extended his congratulations to Christian faithful across Nigeria as they celebrate Easter in 2025.
In a statement released on Sunday, Amusan highlighted the core tenets of the Easter celebration, emphasizing “the love of God for humankind, as demonstrated through the sacrifice of his only son, Jesus Christ, and the victory of man over death.”
He succinctly summarized Easter as “a celebration of the love of God, the sacrifice of Christ, and the victory of man over death.”
However, he also addressed the prevailing security challenges in various parts of the country, describing the current situation as “worrisome.” He called for “sober reflections” during this period.
Acknowledging the government’s efforts, Amusan stated that the “Government has been doing all within its power to ensure that we live in peace across the Country.”
He further paid tribute to the nation’s security personnel, saluting “the courage and sacrifice of our gallant officers involved in different missions across the Country.”
Underscoring the importance of national unity, JKAstressed the need for collective action. “We have to work together and concentrate on the things that unite us,” he asserted, adding, “There is strength in unity. Government alone cannot do it.”
Amusan urged all citizens to “come together to support Government in its efforts to ensure that we live together in peace and love,” emphasizing that “Our diversities should be a source of strengths. Let us leverage on that opportunity.”
Concluding his message, Jelili Kayode Amusan expressed his hope for a peaceful Easter, stating, “May the joy of Easter bring peace and tranquility to our homes and Nigeria as a whole.”JKA prayed
