Advice has gone to all politicians in Oke-Ogun axis of Oyo State to close ranks and align with one another over the possibility of governorship ambition come 2027 political dispensation.
This advice was made by Oke-Ogun Development Agenda(ODA) via its Chairman, Comrade Rahman Oladoye and Secretary, Comrade Sunday Oluwatobi while in an exclusive interaction with some members of NUJ, Oke-Ogun Federated Chapel.
The duo hinted that, as 2027 political dispensation is gradually approaching, politicians in the zone should as a matter of importance prioritise love, unity and togetherness among one another, in order to attain the long term’s deprived governorship ambition.
They asked all gladiators, stakeholders and members of all political parties in the zone to eschew bitterness, acrimony and sentiment which might have existed, for the feasibility of the project ahead.
In their emphasis, the duo reiterated that the actualisation of governorship ambition for the zone can only be possible, while all hands are deck regardless of division, parochial interest and other dichotomies.
While in a memory lane, Chairman and the scribe lamented that, it was quite unfortunate and disheartening that the zone with ten(10) local governments had not produced governor since 1999 which the country has transited to uninterrupted 4th Republic.
They have however observed that, its impossibility over the years was consequent upon internal wranglings, selfishness, divide and rules’ schemes by the smart outsiders, which have long kept Oke-Ogun politicians apart.
They appealed to them to reach out to other leaders, gladiators and stakeholders of the leading political parties in other zones in Oyo State on the needs for Oke-Ogun to produce the next governor come 2027.
The duo asked them not to be confrontational, hot tempered and desperate in their agitation for its actualisation but wise, peaceful and convinced approach to get the project attained.
