The Chief Imam of Iseyinland, in Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State, Fadilat Sheikh Abdul Akeem Babatunde Olajori has commissioned the Mosque and Islamic Centre, built in memory of late Alhaji Abdul Wasiu Adeniyi WAMOD.
Commissioning of the gigantic multimillion naira WAMOD Memorial & Islamic Centre, took place on Thursday, 29th February at Sawmill area along Ipapo road, in the ancient town of Iseyinland.
Imam Olajori whose commissioning of the mosque coincidental with the afternoon prayer (Zhur), used that golden opportunity to lead the congregational prayer and offered prayers for Alhaja Jemilat Oladunni, her late husband and those who were in attendance to celebrate with them.
It will be recalled that Alhaja Jemilat Oladunni, wife of late Adeniyi Aremu WAMOD built the Mosque, in order to bring the vision of her late husband to fruition, despite his transition to the great beyond.
she substantiated that the edifice which is in place, would be regarded as a worshipping centre and place of learning where both prayer and receipt of knowledge would be consistently carried out.
In his lecture, Sheikh Muyideen Salman lauded Alhaja Oladunni for being an upright, dependable and prudent woman who could make her husband’s vision alive via the building of mosque and Islamic centre.
The renowned Islamic preacher enjoined her to be steadfast, consistent and focused on engagement of righteousness and good deeds without minding detractors.
Sheikh Salman prayed Allah to continue showering blessing, protection on Alhaja Oladunni and however grant her late husband Aljanatul Fridaos.
In his own submission, Ex Chairman, Iseyin Local Government, Hon. Yusuff Adejare Alaran showered encomiums on Alhaja Oladunni over building of gigantic edifice meant for immortalization of her late husband.
He however remarked that the woman has fulfilled the Sayings of Holy Prophet Muhammad(PBOH) and pronouncement of the glorious Qur’an via placement of the mosque and Islamic centre.
The APC Chieftain reiterated that, whoever that is blessed should as a matter of significance leaves legacies that would be beneficial to all, regardless of race, political affiliations, religions and other dichotomies.
The epoch making occasion featured royal message from the Aseyin of Iseyinland, HRM Oba Sefiu Oyebola Adeyeri III Ajirotutu I, which was ably done by the Ikolaba of the ancient town, High Chief Ismail Tikalosoro.
Also, programme of event had inclusion of recitation from the Holy Quran, Introduction of special guests, chairman’s speech, biography of the deceased, special prayer for late WAMOD, and host of others.
The hitch free programme had in attendance of League of Imams & Alfas in Oke-Ogun, family members, friends and other admirers of late WAMOD.
Wine and dine followed the programme and Alhaja Rianat Folashade Aduke Raji entertained the guests with melodious Islamic song.
