The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes(CCII) has conferred prestigious ‘Distinguished Business Leader Award’ on the Managing Directress and Publisher of Celebrity Magazine, Mrs Folasade Biliqis Akinola.
The award, in recognition of her excellent contribution to the communities and unwavering commitment for business, was done under the leadership of CCII President General, Barr. Ajeniyi Ajewole during the Ibadan Cultural Week Festival.
According to her citation, “it is my honor to introduce Mrs. Bilikis Folashade Akinola, a distinguished individual with a remarkable academic journey. Born into the esteemed family of Mr. and Mrs. S.O.G. Akingbehin of the revered Otun Oyekola lineage, Oje in Ibadan. Mrs Akinola’s educational odyssey began at HLA Primary School, where she laid the foundation for her future success between 1978 and 1983”.
“She then proceeded to Holy Trinity Grammar School, further honing her skills from 1983 to 1988. Her thirst for knowledge led her to then Oyo State College of Education Ilesa, where she earned her NCE between 1990 and 1993. Undeterred, she pursued higher education at the Polytechnic of Ibadan, obtaining her Higher National Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration”.
“Mrs. Akinola’s academic prowess culminated at the prestigious University of Ibadan, where she earned her first degree in Special Education/ Communication Language Arts. Her relentless pursuit of excellence drove her to obtain a second degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the same revered institution”.
“She currently holds the position of the Deputy Director of Administration and General Services IBSW Local Government”.
“She is the MD/CEO Celebrity Magazine. She’s a prominent member of Lions Club, Charter President of Ologuneru Integrity Lions Club.
Founder and president of Ajorosun Feminine Club” .
“She has held several positions, including a two term Social Secretary University of Ibadan Alumni Association. She has served many associations in various capacities and has received numerous prestigious awards. Which includes;
