• Glitz and Glam Felicitate Awardee, Describe Him as Man of Impeccable Character
Ibadan Soco-cultural Organisation known as ‘ Central Council of Indigenes'(CCII) has conferred an award of excellence on Engineer Femi Alao, an indigene of Kishi, Oke-Ogun axis of Oyo State.
The award ceremony, which took place at Aweni Arena, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State on 11th January, had in attendance of glitz and glam among political divides, business moguls, Ibadan indigenes and captains of industry among others.
In his welcome address, CCII President General, Alhaj Oloye Sulaiman Ajeniyi Ajewola hinted that an award bestowed on Engineer Femi was consequent upon his contributions and notable quotas to the development and progress of Ibadan land.
He added that, integrity, openness, impeccable character, generosity and other good qualities of human beings which are being shown by the awardee are unavoidable prerequisites that necessitated his award of excellence.
Alhaj Abiola Alli, Chairman, 2025 Ibadan Cultural Festival hinted that the ancient city of Ibadan annually organises its week and it becomes significant to reward both indigenes and non-indigenes who prioritise the development of Ibadan land.
Alli noted, despite the fact that the awardee hails from Kishi in Oke-Ogun, he has without disparity been contributing to the advancement and overall success of the ancient city of Ibadan land.
He said, that the Kishi-born engineer considered to be honoured for award of excellence, in preparation for a week long usual annually organised Ibadan Week.
Alli clarified that, Ibadan does not only recognise and appreciate only Ibadan indigenes but also reciprocate such gestures to non-indigenes whose philanthropic gestures are felt on both human and structural development of the city.
In his appreciation, the awardee extended his heartfelt gratitude to all members of the CCII for considering him worthy for presentation of the prestigious award, promising that he won’t hesitate to identify and contribute more for its progress.
He thanked his wife for her conviction, determination and courage to stand behind him for attainment of the latest feat, noting that she remains a dependable better half who takes care of home womanly when she is not around.
Femi Alao thanked all admirers, friends, well-wishers, politicians, the royal fathers, Kishi & Oke-Ogun people and others who thronged the venue to felicitate him.
While speaking with news men, Chairman Solutions FM Ibadan, Oloye Taofeek Adegboyega, former Chairman, Oluyole Local Government, Hon. Prince Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye, APC Chieftain, Chief Lowo Obisesan, Hon. Gbenga Olayemi Ariba and others commended the awarded whose good name, impeccable character, sincerity, generosity, integrity and other good values orchestrated award of excellence that was bestowed on him.
He was enjoined to glue his feet on the path of goodness, as the only factor that would propel his progress and attainment of more unprecedented feats.
The epoch making occasion had in attendance of CCII executive members that range from the President General, Alhaj Oloye Sulaiman Ajeniyi Ajewola, Assistant General Secretary, Mogaji Kunle Sodeinde, Social Secretary, Madam Afolashade Muhibat Olayiwola, Chiefwhip, Alhaj Mobolaji Olowookere and host of others.
Also, the Aseyin of Iseyin, HRM Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Ajirotutu 1, Oba Alayeluwa, the Oloje of Oje-Owode, Olori Khaidijat Oloje, His Royal Highness, the Onimia of Imia, and the Bobajiro of Kishi land.
