In an unfortunate turn of events, a Motor Dealer who supplied 30 cars to Oyo Magistrates and 10 SUVs to 10 Judges of the Oyo state High Court attempted to withdraw the said cars from the Judges and Magistrates.

Governor Makinde had given out the vehicles to the affected Judges as official vehicles.
Unfortunately, the Dealer is complaining that the Governor has failed to honor the terms of the contract and had descended on the Judges, attempting to seize their vehicles since yesterday, Wednesday, 14th of May, 2027.
Investigations revealed that the National Judicial Council sought to know if Governor Makinde had paid for the vehicles before the vehicles were handed over to the Judges and Governor Makinde answered in the affirmative.
Sadly and unfortunately, that assurance turned out not to be totally correct.
It is learned that the Judges who were lucky to escape the Dealers yesterday could no longer go out in their vehicles since yesterday for fear of being embarrassed by the Dealer.
The situation is so tense that those who do not have other means of transport apart from the vehicles in question are now looking for other means of transport.
You will recollect that the NBA Ibadan Branch recently lamented about the meagre sum of money paid to Magistrates in Oyo state as monthly salary.
What is shocking about the present embarrassing situation is the fact that the Governor chose to embarrass the judiciary in this manner.
The Judiciary is the third arm of Government and it deserves respect from the Executive arm of Government headed by Governor Makinde.
This is the first time the Executive Governor of a state will expose the Judiciary to this kind of embarrassment.
