Iyaloja General of Oyo State, Princess Azeezat Folashade Abeo has said, an aspired position that has no keen competition should be regarded as meaningless.
Abeo who spoke extensively on controversy surrounding the authentic Iyaloja- General of Oyo State, between her and Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje.
She substantiated undergone process that authenticates her current status, while fielding questions from Journalists in Okaka, Itesiwaju Local Government, Area of Oyo State.
Abeo revealed that, she became Iyaloja General of Oyo State as a result of unanimous decision of all Iyalojas in the state.
While going in a memory lane, she revealed that it was Iyalojas who had audience with late Alaafin Oba Lamidi Adeyemi Ikubabayeye, that the position of Iyaloja General of Oyo State had been zoned to Oyo town, while Babaloja General was restricted to Ibadan and Otun Babaloja went to Saki respectively.
She added that, her emergence was consequent upon her nomination by late Alaafin Ikubabayeye and endorsement of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Soun of Ogbomoso, Okere of Saki, Aseyin of Iseyin, Onjo of Okeho, Sabiganna of Iganna and other traditional rulers in Oyo State.
She maintained that, all Iyalojas endorsed her candidature for the position shortly after the ratification of all traditional rulers in the state, with funfair and pageantry.
Abeo made mentioned of appointment letter given to her with approval of all that were matter to append their signatures on it.
Adding that, it was her surprise that the payment for the form was made by the Iyalojas who ensured that things should be in line with fairness, equity and justice.
Folashade Abeo whom Yeyeoge was conferred on her by Olokaka of Okakaland, Oba Abdul Azeez Olatunji Ayoola Ogelende 1V said any other person who went through the same process should come out and make her claims.
She said, the only position that is not meaningful and valued can’t be competed with, adding that importance will be added to the portfolio if there is keen interest and completion.
On Governor Seyi Makinde’s recognition of her status, Abeo revealed that Governor is a wise and knowledgeable person whose body language keeps her going without looking back.
He enjoined all and sundry to make Makinde’s led administration peaceful and easy to run, by complying with the rules, order and general policy that make the state attains progress and development.
