An Aspirant for the stool of Alaafin, Prince Adelani Sulaiman Adebayo popularly known as Igbehin-Adun has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde on his next birthdate and Christians on Christmas Celebration.
Prince Igbehin-Adun who originates from Agunloye Family of Ladigbolu Ruling House cheered both Makinde and Christians during an exclusive interaction with the crew of acrossnigerianews.com
Prince said, it became important and necessary to felicitate Makinde on his next birthdate and Christians on their preparedness for the Christmas’ celebration.
Prince maintained that the Governor of Pacesetter State has remained an important figure in the state and society at large, whose birthdate can’t be passed by, without a statement of congratulations, prayers and best wishes.
He added that, Makinde stands as a notable Governor in the history of Oyo State, whose administration and leadership qualities are so endeared to people of Oyo State and beyond, praying God almighty to bless his new age and makes the subsequent ones of his more blissful and prosperous.
In another vein, Prince Igbehin-Adun felicitates Christians in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole, on their readiness and happiness to celebrate Christmas that is coming up on Monday, 25th December.
He enjoined them to reflect on the purpose of Christmas and moral lessons that the season teaches adherents of Christianity, adding that their better understanding of this yuletide would make them celebrate in accordance with its normalcy and motives.
However, Prince showered encomium on all Kingmakers of Oyoland, whom he described as pillars who are exhibiting applaudable mastery of leadership since late Alaafin, Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyemi Alaafin had joined his ancestors.
He commended their resolve to make Oyo peaceful and however asked them to work in tandem with fairness, justice and most importantly in accordance with true consultation of Ifá deity in order to pick the right person for the stool of Alaafin.
Prince Igbehin-Adun praised Makinde over his insistence and stance on Kingmakers’ adherence to the terms of rule of law and objective consultation with the priests on who is to ascend the throne out of the numerous contenders.
He said, Makinde’s pronouncement and action on Alaafin’s stool justify that the prestigious position can’t be handled with levity hands.
